Application

Aluminum hydroxide (ATH) flame retardant has the advantages of being harmless, having good stability, not producing toxic gases at high temperatures, and reducing the amount of smoke generated during plastic combustion. It is also inexpensive and has a wide range of sources. The dehydration and heat absorption temperature of aluminum hydroxide is relatively low, around 235-350 ℃, so its flame retardant effect is significant at the beginning of plastic combustion. When the addition amount of ATH is 40%, it can significantly slow down the pyrolysis temperature of PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), and ABS (acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer), and has good flame retardancy and smoke reduction effects.
