Polyacrylamide works as follows:

1, the principle of flocculation: when high molecular weight polyacrylamide is used for flocculation, it is related to the surface properties of the flocculated species, especially the electrokinetic potential, viscosity, turbidity and the PH value of the suspension. The electrokinetic potential of the particle surface is the reason for the particle resistance. The addition of polyacrylamide high molecular weight with the opposite surface charge can reduce the electrokinetic potential and condense.

2, adsorption bridge: high molecular weight polyacrylamide molecular chain is fixed on the surface of different particles, the polymer bridge is formed between the particles, so that the particles form aggregates and settlement.

3. Surface adsorption: Various adsorption of polar group particles on pam high molecular weight molecules.
